Some Recent Changes: an update by our Vice-Chairman

Dear SUIS Community,

On behalf of our Chairman, Cameron McIntosh, I would like to update you on some of the changes that have taken place at SUIS as we head into 2017.

Firstly, our National Director, Greg Wynn, is no longer with us. Sadly, Greg and Tammy and their two young girls left us in December and are now in the Parish of Richmond where Greg is the acting Rector. We thank them for all that they gave to SUIS during their two year stay and wish them well in their new venture.
Secondly, we welcome Alison Coleman to the team at Em’seni. Ali is no stranger to SUIS as she has been on many camps both as a participant and a leader over the years. Ali takes over in the role of SUIS Regional Director for KZN, the focus of which will be running camps at the Em’seni campsite and being involved in Unity activities in schools both in KZN and Gauteng. Alison is an Honours Graduate in Zoology from the University of Pretoria. She is also a qualified educator having completed a teaching internship at St Anne’s College while studying a PGCE through Unisa.
Alison will be ably assisted by Sarah-Lynn Williams. Sarah has been working for SUIS part-time as an Administrator already. She will maintain that role but has also stepped up to a full time position in order to also get involved directly in the ministry alongside Alison. Sarah is a BSc Graduate in Geography and Ecology from the University of KwaZulu-Natal (UKZN). She also has a history with SUIS as a past camper and as a spiritual leader at her school.
Kevin Robertson, the Programme Director at Em’seni, will now also take oversight for the programme at SUIS and play a role in both mentoring and guiding Alison and Sarah-Lynn.
2017 is very much going to be a transitional year for the SUIS team and community. However with the calibre of the team we have in place and God’s blessing, we are looking forward to what the year will bring and the lives that will be changed.

We remain extremely grateful to you for your support of the ministry and would covet your prayers during this transition period.
